Darwin's "I think", green
These green enameled earrings feature the words, “I think”, which were part of a sentence written above a tree of life sketched by the famous biologist Charles Darwin. The backside is counter enameled a dark blue.
Charles Darwin was an English naturalist and geologist who is best known for his contributions to evolutionary biology. Writing his thoughts in notebooks, he drew an evolutionary tree to understand the relationships between living creatures. Above the tree, he wrote “I think case must be that one generation should have as many living as now. To do this & to have many species in same genus (as is) requires extinction..." (wikicommons).
Ear wires: Sterling silver
Drop length: 1.75"
Artwork recreated from Darwin’s notebook, copyright free from Wikicommons.
Since each piece is individually fired, please note that there may be slight differences between the pair shown and the pair you receive. Also, color is never 100% accurate across computers, TVs, or phones - I’ve tried my best to capture the color using natural lighting.
